| 33 Nick Gompertz CEO and Founder of EarSwitch Dr Nick Gompertz was a NHS doctor for 30 years (GP for 21 years). He is now CEO and Founder of EarSwitch Ltd. EarSwitch’s in-ear sensor technology, EarMetrics, is aiming to become the new gold standard for medical monitoring globally. It aims to address the racial inequity of many pulse oximeters, whilst improving accuracy for all, providing all commonly used “clinical observations”. The miniature sensor is easy to wear in audio ear-buds and hearing aids, and so enables real world data gathering with the aim to provide the reliable, safe, private and user owned & controlled EarMetrics-Digital Twin. Nick invented the concept of the EarSwitch as a medical student; to help people with Motor Neurone Disease communicate from a simple earbud. seven years ago the story of a 13 year old inspired him to resolve the problem and he managed to prove the EarSwitch concept. The Communication EarSwitch product is now undergoing clinical studies with people with communication needs with the help of funding from three NIHR grants since 2021, and hoping to be available to UK patients by the end of this year. www.EarSwitch.co.uk LinkedIn: /company/earswitch-ltd/ Dr Aizemea Okojie CEO of EV3 Technologies Ltd, Specialist Doctor in Obstetrics and Gynaecology The EV3 Pessary is a next-generation, user-centred device designed for anatomical inclusivity, ease of self-management, and improved comfort.
