Brentwoodian 2022

For the first time in over five years, the School organised a golf tour. Our destination was the East of Scotland with the various matches being played in or around St Andrew’s on the week before the 150th Open Championship. Team Europe and Team USA battled it out for the honours. As you would expect in Scotland we experienced all four seasons in a matter of a few days. Team Europe clinched victory on the final day’s play at beautiful and challenging St Andrew’s Castle Course. Over the four days, many fantastic golf courses were played which also included Ladybank, Lundin links and Leven links. These courses have great history and were a joy to play. The trip was brilliant fun and did a lot to promote school golf with new friendships being made and some excellent golf played throughout. Finally, I would like to thank Mr Long (Head of Golf) for the commitment he has shown to the School golf team throughout the year. Without his encouragement, organisation and commitment, the golf teamwould not have had the success it has enjoyed. He is greatly appreciated. By Max Porteous 99
