NETBALL 1ST XI "tenaciousness could be seen in all of our defenders" After two years of Covid restrictions, the 2021/2022 netball season was always going to be unpredictable. However, the 1st VII proved unaffected by the previous circumstances which had affected netball so much - having won 16 of 18 matches this season. Netball this season has truly been both glorious and harmonious, the team have developed a bond that has united us throughout the year. Whilst we were all friends before, our friendships have strengthened, and the team has felt the sentimental effects knowing that Heather Young, Niamh Mills and I will be leaving for university in September. Winning the County tournament and going through to Regionals was a huge success and also one of our happiest teamexperiences this year. The teamplayed excellently, passionately and showed perseverance in our toughest games. Winning our semi-final against our long term competitive rivals NewHall - the joy of getting into the Final and the Regional tournament was sweeping throughout the team. 100
