Brentwoodian 2022

Athletics this year for the boys, especially Upper Sixth, was amazing to say the least. At the start of the season we put our heads together and pushed ourselves to the limits at every session possible. This was all because we saw what potential we had and what we could achieve. Throughout the year, we had been competing against many oppositions on a Saturday and also during midweek fixtures. As a team we were always pushing each other to be the best that we could be. After winning the vast majority of our home fixtures on regular Saturday mornings with a consistently excellent turn-out, we turned our sights to the District Athletics cup. We were able to win the title of District champions with a number of outstanding performances and medals at the end of the season. We were over the moon with our performances and the great day’s work was always complimented by the relay team flying round the track breaking competition records. Our success throughout the County and Districts was unbeatable. But unfortunately we missed out on qualifying for the national finals by 2 points. As a team we are exceptionally proud of our achievements and how we continued to develop throughout the year. By Nathan Killiea and Joseph Payne BOYS’ TEAMS 121
