The 1st XI had a mixed set of results for 2022; there were some excellent team and individual performances and some indifferent team and individual performances. Overall the team ended up playing 19 matches in total, winning eight of those 19 matches. In the League, the team finished fourth, however their two wins contributed to the School winning the overall ENISL title. Will Howard finished as top run scorer, with an impressive 624 runs, whilst Tom Arnold ended the season as leading wicket taker with 16 wickets. The side was extremely young, with the majority coming being 15 or 16 years old. To finish the season off the 1st XI travelled to Oundle School for the annual Cricket festival; it was a fantastic few days with the students coming away better players from the competition. With another year’s experience under their belts, we hope that the side can become a bit more consistent with their performances. Cricket 1st XI The 2nd XI had a mixed set of results, winning four out of seven matches. In the League, the team won three out of five matches and ended up a commendable third. Blake Weedon topped the most runs being scored with 111 runs in total. Harry Bradford finished as top wicket taker, finishing with 7 wickets in total. The Boys were a joy to be around and they clearly enjoyed their time together; their three League wins were vital in helping to secure the Overall ENISL League winners’ title. With a pre-season tour to South Africa to look forward to, we hope that the Boys can go one better and win the 2nd XI League title next year. 2nd XI 127
