Brentwoodian 2022

The U14A team can be proud of their efforts last year. Overall they played 12 matches, winning nine of their 12 matches. The Boys finished the season with mixed emotions. In the newly formed Eagles Nest Independent Schools Cricket League (ENISL), the teamwon all five of their matches, thus meaning they became U14A League champions. This was a brilliant feat, and all involved can be proud of their contribution and commitment to becoming League champions. Unfortunately, they lost to Bancroft’s School in the Essex Cup semi-final. If the Boys had won their semi-final, they would have fancied themselves to go on and complete the double. Overall, the students should be extremely proud of an extremely successful season. U14A The U14Bs had a hugely successful year, the team played 13 Games in total across both League and friendly matches. In the League the side went unbeaten, winning four games and tying one. This in turn led to them being crowned League champions. Availability was a constant issue, but there was a core of 10 that made themselves available for every match. Their friendly and MESSSA cupmatches were slightly different, resulting in 8 losses out of 8. However, the Boys ended up playing against other Schools’ A teams quite frequently. Overall, they should be proud of their achievements last year and we look forward to seeing them develop next year. U14B "we won all five matches and were crowned League champions" 130
