Brentwoodian 2022

a force to be reckoned with in Essex. Well done to Tommie Idowu, William Eliss, William Howard, Zack Puchakayala, Ross Mandie and CallumWeedon for being selected for Essex U16 team. William Howard also got selected for the Saracens U16 squad. Our boys’ hard work and commitment paid off and we secured further impressive victories against St George’s Harpenden, Dartford Grammar and RGS Colchester. During our Essex Cup campaign we beat William Edwards, Westcliff High School for Boys and Robert Clack to book a place in the Essex Cup final against Woodlands School. The final took place at Barking Rugby Club. With great excitement and anticipation we managed to win a very close and hard-fought battle to be crowned Essex Champions for the first time as an U16 team in the history of Brentwood School. Our boys played together with a lot of passion as a team and were well deserved winners against a very strong Woodlands team 30-24. To top the season off we also excelled during the 7s season and were crowned the Essex 7s champions by beating Great Baddow High School 17-0, Westcliff High School for Boys 14-10, Campion School 26-7 Gateway Academy 26-19, Robert Clack 31-14 in the semi-final and RGS Colchester 24-5 in the final. This was a great achievement as an U16 squad to be crowned double Essex champions for the first time in the History of Brentwood School and the memories and history we created together with our coaches will stay with us for the rest of our lives. "we were crowned double Essex champions for the first time in the History of Brentwood School" 138
