Brentwoodian 2022

Michaelmas term also brought North House BAC Week and the annual Christmas Fair. Unfortunately, I was forced to isolate with Covid and so my incredible Assistant Head of House, Mrs-Dearmer-Decup led all of the events single handedly. Mrs Dearmer-Decup did a fantastic job running the Lip Sync Challenge, a Year 11 Quiz, a Christmas Card Competition, a Charity Netball Match as well as a stand at the Christmas Fair. She was supported by our fantastic House Captain, Ellie Marshall. This year North was raising money for the “Treasured Memories” appeal. For many, the Lip Sync Challenge was a highlight of the term and happily North House won the competition with the Upper Sixth boys performing The Brightest Star. Special thanks must go to Jemima and Reuban Mamelock who, as usual, were fantastic in supplying and leading games for the North House stand. The Lent term brought more House BAC weeks and more success for North. Our Year 8 Quiz Team were crowned victorious in a hotlycontested final. North also secured success during German BAC week and during the English baking BAC week competition. We won House Netball and Football following on from some excellent placings in House Hockey and House Rugby in Michaelmas. Our seniors impressively made it to the final of School’s BAC week Volleyball competition.
