Brentwoodian 2022

The Middles’ Play of 2022 involved a great number of pupils from Years 9 and 10 who all put in many hours of work to create a truly special performance. For many of the actors involved, The Wolves of Willoughby Chase was their first play at Brentwood School however, the talent displayed by all of the participants was mesmerising and inspiring. The Wolves of Willoughby Chase The play consisted of many chorus sections, detailed monologues and an emotional yet humorous plot which was conveyed exceptionally by the young actors of Brentwood School. The show consisted of two casts with both telling the story in a beautiful yet individual way making both performances a delight to watch and be a part of. It is not until the end of a performance that you begin to consider the hard work that has been put into making such a captivating piece of drama. However, the memories created from these long hours of hard work are ones which will last a lifetime. Through taking part in this performance, I got the opportunity to work with extremely talented older pupils and make new friends within my year group. A huge congratulations must go to Sophie Dunlevey from Year 9 who fulfilled the role of Bonnie Green to an extraordinary level and the effort she put into her role is completely and utterly inspiring. This was Sophie’s first show at Brentwood 65
