Brentwoodian 2022

"To our surprise we finished as National runners-up of the Cup and iT's a moment we will never forget" Next were the track events. We started off the afternoon strong with the 100m and 200m in which Lizzie MacCallum gained many points with a time of 27.8s. Subsequently, our middle distance and 300m runners faced rainy conditions but still managed to perform very promising races. Lois Hall and Jemimah Knightbridge in the 1500m scored high points for the team and Jess Philpot placing 1st overall in the 300m. To our surprise we finished as National runnersup of the Cup and it’s a moment we will never forget. We had a remarkable season and athletics will be greatly missed by the year 10s, and we are thankful for the year 9s who competed a year young and hope that they have an equally great season next year. Finally, on behalf of all the athletes, we would like to thank the PE staff, especially Mrs Juniper, for putting together another fantastic year of athletics through her hard work and dedication; we wouldn’t have been able to get this far without her! 95
