Brentwoodian 2022

"every person gave one hundred percent and fought hard to come out with the best result" The U13 Girls’ Athletics season was outstanding, filled with many tough races, throws and jumps, lots of personal bests with good spirits along the way. We competed in numerous fixtures, in which every person gave one hundred percent and fought hard to come out with the best result possible. Our biggest success of the year was making it into the regional round of the Track and Field Cup. Our sprinters: Elena Stent, Aimee Lim, Ella Gilder-Briggs, Davina Ewulomi, Megan Collett, Mori Ashiru and Abigail Loveys gave it their all to come out victorious within their race. The team’s middle distance runners: Georgia Sawyer, Aster SamsonConlan and Bella Carr were very determined to finish strong and gain as many points as possible. Hurdles were completed by Fran Fraud who tried her best to give the team the best possible chance to finish in a good position. One of my favourite fixtures was at Districts where we came home with lots of individual medals and the Year 8 Girls’ team finished as District Champions. Overall, we have all had a great season and worked incredibly hard to try our best all the time. We have had lots of highs as a team such as Year 8 winning Districts and the Track and Field cup where the junior girls reached the regional final. It was a pleasure to be a part of the Year 8 Girls’ Athletics team this year and I can’t wait for next season. By Francesca Faud U13 TEAM 96
