His background includes a BSc in Infection and Immunity, D.Phil in Molecular Biology and overseas aid work. He is a selftaught ‘coder’ and developed a software solution which prevented lost-to-follow in patients with long-term medical conditions. This solution improved patient care and helped his department to 7th best in the 2019 HQIP National Audit Early Inflammatory Arthritis Audit. Bhathiya founded and professionally developed this technology through MedLogic Ltd. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, MedLogic rapidly developed additional patient-initiated follow-up (PIFU) functionality, intended to support post-COVID service recovery.
