Brentwoodian 2022

Our first challenge was the Brentwood Ursuline rally in November, and winning this was fantastic and gave the team a real confidence boost. In the Lent Term we played 11 matches, of which we won eight and lost only three - I would say that’s a netball season we should be proud of. Our biggest win was against St Edmund’s College - we won by a whopping 38 goals and they didn’t manage to score. In the third quarter we used the opportunity to switch around everyone’s positions, which added an interesting challenge to the occasion. Of the three matches that we lost, all were against ‘A’ teams, and our closest loss, to Forest School, was actually one of our best games of the season. It was really close and we fought hard all the way through but ultimately lost by just goals, with the final score 19-21 to Forest. I would like to say a big thank you on behalf of the team to Mr Hitchings for his coaching through his first netball season at Brentwood, and we look forward to an unbeaten season next year. By Olivia Toms U14B What a great season we had for our U13A netball team. Since not having any matches in Year 7 due to Covid. We all came together as a team from all our different clubs and previous primary schools. We were off to a great start winning 26-13 against Haileybury and just went from strength to strength. Over the season we grew more confident as a team which made us play a lot better and the teamwork massively improved. Our amazing defence, Millie Burrell, Daniella Adeleke and Amy Thomas worked U13A "our mid-courters made it really hard for the ball to even reach their shooters" 106
