Brentwoodian 2022

impressively well together making interceptions and turning over the ball, our mid-courters made it really hard for the ball to even reach their shooters and worked really well in making a quick transition up court to goal when we made an interception- (Georgia Sawyer, Megan Collett, Bella Carr, Fran Faud and Edie Griffiths). Finally our shooters Abigail Loveys and Tilly Storrar worked really well together, passing to each other to have the best opportunity to score a goal. One of our best matches was against St Edmund’s College which resulted in a 39-16 win. We worked really well together and it started to feel like a proper team - from being able to get around our players with our fast footwork, our determination to keep going and getting more goals and our shooters barely missing any that game. Winning 18 out of 20 matches was amazing for our first proper season together, scoring over 470 goals and just missing out on being District champions by one goal. But we never gave up and our next game after the tournament we came out fighting from the first whistle and won 36-16 against New Hall. I have thoroughly enjoyed being Captain this year and I would like to say a massive thank you to our amazing coach, Miss Morrell. We wouldn’t have achieved so much without her and she has helped us all improve so much over this season. By Abi Loveys Wow! What a great season for the U13B team! Winning 14/15 games, and just losing our first ever match by one goal, we have had success after success every match we have played! We have scored 236 goals this season by our amazing shooters, Lola Wright, Amelia Southgate and Angelle Iwuagwu. Of course this couldn’t have been done without the help of our mid-court players, Arabella Plackett, Maisie Dann, Daisy Edwards and Elena Stent. Our defence this year has been incredible! From interception to interception, our defenders have never failed to keep every U13B 107
