The U14B’s had a fantastic Michaelmas term and won all of our matches, convincingly! We worked very well as a team, efficiently moving and passing, moving and passing – in short, we were amazing! Our Captains and Vice Captains helped to organise the game plan and manipulate the field through the whole match, basically leaving Mr McCann to do what he does best: umpire. Our defence was solid and this helped us to keep clean sheet after clean sheet – they were like an indestructible wall! Shots were parried and saved by our agile and fearless goalkeeper Emily Davies. The midfielders were able to pass to the forwards, who took up the smart attacking positions and they scored a lot of silky goals in every game. A lot of effort from the whole team during training, in games and after school every week, really helped us win the matches, which were mostly at weekends. We put in loads of effort and tried our best in training because we could see that our coach was doing the same and that motivated us to win – which we knew would lead to pizza! U14B The U13A’s Hockey season was a huge success, filled with hard-fought matches, great results and enjoyable times. We managed to win the majority of our fixtures, playing twelve games in total and winning ten of them. We lost narrowly only twice, both times by one single goal, which demonstrates the determination of the team - always willing to give it everything so that we can achieve the best results possible. Our defenders, Leni Giles and Abi Barham, and our goalkeeper, Mathilde Hermosa, were always determined to stop the opposition from scoring and only conceded 16 goals all season, which is a brilliant accomplishment.
